We’ve been busy. It’s been the most challenging period to date and we are extremely excited about the future of gamban®.

Desktop (Windows and Mac OS X)

gamban® v4 release in mid-February.

This is the biggest and most impressive gamban® update yet, setting the standard for effective and lightweight gambling-blocking software. As usual, updates to the latest version will be free for existing users.

Mobile (Android and iOS)

We have identified increasingly intelligent ways to restrict access to online gambling (sites and apps) and will be releasing updates over the month ahead.
Apple have informed us they will be removing gamban®iOS from the App Store – this announcement was made in the same week Tim Miller, UKGC Executive Director called on Apple to do more to protect children from gambling-related harm.

We have made progress on an alternative and improved strategy that gives us independence from Apple, who seem far too relaxed about minimising gambling-related harm.

Under the Hood

What makes gamban® such a necessary product is the way it is designed. As we have experienced problem gambling first-hand, we know exactly what we want from gambling-blocking software – or rather, what we don’t want.

It must be lightweight, effective and robust. No glitches or bugs. It’s hard enough to stop gambling, so we need to make installation and use of gamban® as simple as possible.

We have refined aspects of the software and improved domain discovery and methodology – we are improving everything from the website and installation process to the ongoing use of the software.

Reviews & Testimonials

At the time of writing, our TrustPilot score is 8.9 out of 10 (‘great’). Where we have received negative reviews we are doing our utmost to improve the product. Reviews can be left anonymously so please leave feedback at

We’ve refreshed the site and tried to make the user journey as simple as possible. In the next couple of weeks the sales process will be far simpler as we are removing the need to enter a specific licence code. We are aiming to make every aspect of gamban® as intuitive and simple as possible.

We already block skins-as-currency within eSports and would like to do more in this space, given that it is massively affecting children (450,000 children between 11-15 last week alone, according to the Gambling Commission). We are therefore appealing to parents to spread the word. Gambling doesn’t look like gambling anymore – we need to talk about ‘Skins’.
