Gamban to be involved in supporting the expansion of IGCCB

Gamban is delighted to announce that Melissa Etherington has become the latest member of the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB), established to represent best practices in the field of disordered gambling and gaming treatment. Melissa will be supporting the aims and objectives of the IGCCB, in domestic and overseas expansion, championing the current best practices in the field of disordered gambling and gaming treatment and ensuring a high standard of qualified treatment professionals for those seeking support with gambling addiction. 

Melissa is the Vice President of Partnerships at Gamban, the market-leading product that blocks access to online gambling. In addition, Melissa is a member of the New Jersey Gambling Treatment Diversion Court Advisory Group, currently the only active GTDC in the world. Melissa works extensively with governmental bodies, treatment support providers and commercial organisations globally, guiding on best practices for distribution and strategy in online gambling self-exclusion, enhancing and improving protection for at-risk gamblers. Through connecting schemes, tools and initiatives, she works to accelerate positive change to ensure that recovery from problem gambling is both possible and achievable.

The International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB) was established in 1984 to offer voluntary National and International certifications that assure a body of qualified and competent professionals working in the field of clinical treatment of individuals with at-risk, problematic and disordered gambling and their families or concerned others. Certification standards established by the IGCCB represent the current best practices in the field of disordered gambling and gaming treatment.
