What you do
Right Choice Recovery provides specialized treatment through three separate primary tracks: Primary Gambling, Primary Substance Use, and Primary Mental Health. Each program is designed around the individual’s primary diagnosis so clients receive treatment that is specific to the condition affecting them most.
We are a premier gambling treatment facility and one of the largest treatment resources for 800-GAMBLER of New Jersey. Through our partnership with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, clients have access to one of the most advanced gambling treatment curricula available in the country.

Our gambling program includes pressure relief and debt relief groups to help clients regain financial stability. Clients also participate in psychoeducation covering triggers, self-esteem, underlying causes and conditions, co-occurring mental health concerns, and the way addiction affects the brain.
Each client is assigned both a gambling counselor and a mental health counselor for weekly individual sessions. Clients also have access to our psychiatrist for medication management when clinically appropriate.

Where these services are available
Our treatment center is located in Dayton, New Jersey. We provide Partial Care, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient services, with telehealth available for certain services when clinically appropriate.
Right Choice Recovery also made history by opening the first gambling-specific sober living program in the country, located in New Jersey. This provides individuals recovering from gambling addiction with a structured living environment specifically designed around the unique challenges of gambling recovery.

Who can access these services
We serve both adults and adolescents.
Our adolescent program serves individuals ages 13–17, including adolescents whose primary diagnosis is gambling addiction. Adolescent clients are treated separately and receive programming appropriate to their age, developmental needs, and presenting concerns.
Adults can access our Primary Gambling, Primary Substance Use, or Primary Mental Health programs depending on their clinical needs.

How people can access these services
Individuals, families, therapists, hospitals, schools, EAPs, treatment providers, community organizations, and other referral sources can contact Right Choice Recovery directly.
Our admissions team can complete an initial screening, verify insurance benefits, determine the appropriate primary track and level of care, and help coordinate admission.

Are these services free?
Services are not generally free. We work with a variety of insurance plans and also offer self-pay options. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on the individual’s insurance benefits and recommended level of care.
Our admissions team can verify benefits and explain any expected financial responsibility before treatment begins.

How have we made a difference?
Right Choice Recovery has helped expand access to specialized gambling treatment for individuals and families throughout New Jersey and beyond.
We have developed a comprehensive continuum of care for gambling addiction that combines clinical treatment, mental health support, financial recovery education, psychiatric services, individualized counseling, and recovery housing.
By opening the country’s first gambling-specific sober living program in New Jersey, treating gambling addiction as a primary diagnosis for both adults and adolescents, and partnering closely with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, we have helped create a more specialized and comprehensive pathway to recovery for individuals affected by problem gambling.
